When Howard Fleischmann came out of retirement about a decade ago to again run Community Tire Pros, he assembled his managers and sales staff and asked them to name their favorite customers.

The overwhelming response: their gay customers.

“When they find someone who’s going to treat them with respect, honesty and be truthful with them, not only do they come back, but they bring three of their friends,” Fleischmann said.
