Become a Volunteer

One great way to give is to become a volunteer.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with one•n•ten. Volunteers are a core part of our mission. Below are the available opportunities:

Active Volunteer Program:

Our organization has an active volunteer program to support our mission of serving and assisting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. All members of our active volunteer program must be 25 or older. Former one•n•ten youth must be 26 or older to participate.

Anyone interested in our active volunteer program is required to sign up and attend a volunteer information session. The next volunteer information session is Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 6-7 PM. Register for our next information session at https://bit.ly/Dec2021VolInfoSession.

After the volunteer information session, attendees will be sent a volunteer application. After reviewing the application and interview, qualified applicants will be sent a background check screening paid for by one•n•ten. A fingerprint clearance card may be used in lieu of the background check. Volunteers must agree to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule (depending on the volunteer role) for a year.

Currently, all volunteer opportunities are virtual and through Zoom.

Event and Single Day of Service (Episodic) Volunteering:

We currently do not have any event or episodic volunteering opportunities due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Groups that still want to give back to the organization through a drive for supplies for our youth or interested in supporting our Fresh Brunch fundraiser should email max@onenten.org
