Hot Topics In Tempe

East Valley one n ten was full of HOT TOPICS this week! Youth and volunteers split into two groups and read several LGBT-related news articles. The groups, facilitated by volunteers Nora and Shel, then discussed these hot topics in the news and related them back to their own experiences, struggles, and opinions. Topics ranged from homophobia literature, media and the coming out process, to homosexuality being banned in Christian schools. In addition, TERROS provided confidential HIV and Syphilis testing for youth.
