One•n•ten Widens Reach; Serves More Than 1,000 LGBTQ Youths in Record-Breaking Year
Research repeatedly shows that LGBTQ youths fare better when they have strong support systems, and
one•n•ten has served as exactly that for a record number of fresh faces this year, helping more than
1,000 youths find compassion, self-love and acceptance.
The organization dedicated to helping LGBTQ youths between the ages of 11 and 24 find housing,
employment, social opportunities and services and more has increased the number of people it serves
by more than 55 this year. Ultimately, one•n•ten helped more than 1,000 unduplicated individuals
through its housing initiatives, educational efforts and innovative social and leadership programs,
including Camp OUTdoors, which, for the first time ever, welcomed LGBTQ campers to two separate
summer sessions.
We’d never have been able to have this much reach and achieve these groundbreaking results without
the support, donations and love we receive from the community, and because of our generous donors
and supporters, we anticipate raising this number substantially in the year to come. With new
one•n•ten satellite locations taking shape around the state, we’re setting the wheels in motion to help
ensure that every LGBTQ youth, regardless of geography or circumstances, has easy access to our
services and support. It’s been a landmark year already for one•n•ten , and we can’t wait for you to see
what’s around the corner. For more on who we are and what we do, check out onenten.org .
