Cabin Counselor
Cabin Counselor is the role we have the highest need to fill and the most youth-facing role. Cabin counselors work in pairs and are responsible for the well-being of the 6-8 youth assigned to their cabin. Your role is to supervise youth and facilitate icebreakers, conversation, and fun! During workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to take a break or attend workshops. If you have lots of energy, enjoy both group and one-on-one time with campers, this could be the role for you!
Camp Nurse
Camp Nurses tend to the bumps, bruises, and pesky headaches; as well as administering all medications to campers. The Camp Nurses are responsible for attending to the medical needs of campers and volunteers. The Camp Nurse must be licensed to practice medicine as a paramedic, nurse, or doctor in Arizona.
Ranger
As a ranger, you’ll have an important role in making sure the camp runs smoothly and safely. Rangers set up & tear down our daily activities, assist with accessibility transportation, and safety scouting. Rangers are encouraged to attend & lead workshops and all-camp activities.
Unit Lead
Unit Leads supervise and support a Unit of cabin counselors. As a support system for cabin counselors, Unit Leads facilitate daily check-ins with their Unit and work with cabin counselors to assist, as well as lead conflict resolution, resource navigation, time-sensitive needs, etc. Unit Leads should be highly organized, with strong interpersonal and non-violent communication skills. Unit Leads must be returning volunteers.
