Your support knows no end –– and we’re always so grateful that your support goes on.
The one•n•ten staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have spent an immense amount of time evaluating the safe and responsible way to move forward with Dancing for one•n•ten this year. Adhering to CDC and health official guidelines, we explored various options from limited seating to a virtual event, which has proven more difficult than expected. The safety and well-being of all those involved is a top priority for us. We would not ask our community members to put themselves at risk and participate in a close contact dance competition. As you would expect, we are not able to produce our annual Dancing for one n ten event this year. Although we will miss our dance pros, contestants and supporters immensely, we care about all of you too much to move forward with an in-person fundraising competition.
We are endlessly grateful to the Tempe Center of the Arts for giving our event a home each year. Thank you to our sponsors for always having our back, and ensuring we can put on the best show possible! To our dance pros, contestants, and all of our supporters over the years, THANK YOU for every incredible memory, expressive dance move, powerful moment, and generous applause.
But we still have youth to support, together.
For those who are able, there is still a way to support them. D4ONT raises vital funds that support our youth programs for the year, so your generosity is needed now more than ever.
There will be an online Facebook fundraising initiative spearheaded by Shawn Lopez-Nerdahl from Arizona Ballroom Champions. We are asking our incredible community to support his efforts by donating here.
Thank you again for your unwavering support throughout the years, and especially throughout this time of uncertainty. We hope to be back on that stage and with all of you in 2021.
On with the show!
