Nina Robinson, Member

Nina Robinson retired as the Associate Dean of Retention and Support Services at Mesa Community College in 2013. She continues to teach at MCC as adjunct faculty in the Counseling Department.

Prior to her Associate Dean position, Nina served as the Director of Multicultural Affairs and Student Success. She began her career at MCC in 1989 as the Director of Student Life and Leadership. Before her career at MCC, Nina was Chief for the Office of Child Care Facilities for the Arizona Department of Health Services and an elementary teacher in Tucson and South Phoenix, where she built and operated her child care center. Nina has over 24 years of experience in management, teaching and student affairs at the community college level. This includes experience in administering and supervising diversity programs, retention and support services in Multicultural Affairs, childcare centers at MCC and statewide, student life, and supervision of American Indian Center Staff. Nina has been involved with numerous civic and community organizations, including her role as the one of the District Facilitators for MOSAIC Diversity Training and an Anytown, USA counselor for 5 years. In addition she created a three day diversity camp for community college students and has facilitated it for the past 13 years. Nina possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education Degree, both from the University of Arizona. ” I am passionate about empowering young adults of all walks of life to be the best that they can be and to help others along their way.”
