Housing Program & Homelessness Services

P.O.N.D. (Promise of a New Day) Housing Program:

  • The P.O.N.D. program includes the following services to participating youth:
    1. Up to two years in single occupancy apartment (ages 18-24)
    2. Wrap around on site case management
    3. Employment/education coaching
    4. On site mental health resources (CBI)

P.O.N.D. Partners:
Community Bridges (CBI): On site partner at P.O.N.D. offering crisis & mental health services
Arizona Housing Inc.: Manages 209 W. Jackson, where P.O.N.D. is located

  • Partners in Housing and Homeless Navigation:

Central Arizona Shelter Services: Coordinated entry and TI-SPDAT at the youth center

Bloom 365: Domestic/Sexual violence advocacy services

Phoenix Children’s Hospital: Crusin’ Health Mobile

Home base: Emergency shelter beds

MMIC: Coordinated entry and advocacy for housing program

St. Mary’s Food Bank: Provides hot/cold meals each day at the Youth Center

Halle Women’s Center: 2 beds on hold for youth being trafficked

Homeless Navigation Services:

  • Drop In Homeless Navigation Services: Mondays 3-5pm & by appointment @ the Youth Center
    1. 1 on 1 support from a Housing Specialist
    2. Immediate connection to shelters/beds for the night (Coordinated Entry)
    3. Homeless court navigation
    4. Connection to mental health services & SMI evaluations
    5. Referrals and resources

Some of the issues require testing and analyzing, so we can resolve it effectively.

  • Services & Assistance @ the Youth Center: Mon-Fri 3-4:30pm
    1. Hot & cold meal packs
    2. Access to shower, toiletries, & clothing
    3. Crew’n Health Mobile on Tuesdays (medical, vision, HIV/STI testing)
    4. City of Phoenix Summer Heat relief site
    5. AHCCCS assistance
    6. Domestic/Sexual violence advocacy services Wednesday’s
