Janae Ben-Shabat has been advocating for at-risk and homeless youth as well as sex trafficked women all her life. She has a deep appreciation for One-N-Ten and is ecstatic to be on the board of directors for such a meaningful organization. As a former homeless LGBT youth, Janae understands first hand many of the challenges that our youth are faced with. She constantly spreads awareness to the issues faced by the unprecedented numbers of at-risk and homeless youth and passionately reaches out to everyone she comes across to get involved in any way they can. She speaks to and mentor’s youth and women to create a better narrative for their life stories by seeking out tools and giving them a sense of hope and self-worth.
A natural entrepreneur Janae has spent the past 15 years creating several successful businesses and serving as the C.F.O for Seacret and its shareholders. She oversees all the financial aspects for this group of investors who hold interests in 30 different companies. An expert in solving problems and multitasking with a flair for forensic accounting. Her dream is to use her entrepreneurial, advocacy, and, financial experience to one day create a not-for-profit that seeks to assist those falling through the cracks of the current system.
