Hi my name is Shyla. I grew up in a small town in Idaho where being gay was
not ok especially since about 80% of the people in my town were LDS. Going up I
hid the fact that I was gay. I was a cheerleader. I dated men and I hated my
life cause i couldn't truely be myself and my self worth was very low. I just
wanted to say thank you for creating a school where kids can grow up being who
they wanna be and being happy. I feel like i wasted my teenage years which are
the funnest years in most people life. so again thank you very very much for
helping these kids in the best years of their lives
